The question of changing and newly arising e-government competency requirements for public servants is at the center of the "COMPAT.eGov.de - Competency Assessment and Training for the Uptake of eGovernment Services by Public Authorities" project.
New forms of networked inter-organisational cooperation are arising, shared service centres are being set up, one-stop front offices with networked back office-structures are being established. This changing working environment requires different and new skills and competences for public servants. We want to figure out which skills and competences are relevant in the context of e-Government.
